It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paige Peach. Our deepest
condolences to the Peach family, the Oil Queens and all her friends today. We will share
funeral details as they become available to us.

WBHE Support for Paige In December 2018, WBHE player Paige Peach
fell ill and entered into an undiagnosed coma.
In the days
that followed her immune system attacked her brain stem,
leaving her critically ill still to this day.
Paige is an Alternate Captain with the WBHE Oil Queens, playing in the
competitive division for multiple
seasons.
At the tender age of 21 she dominated the floor with her play, and was a
leading scorer in the
league every year.
To show our support for Paige and her
family the league will be selling stickers for $2.00 each with the
funds raised
going directly to support the Peach family.
WBHE raised $300 for this cause at our spring
tournament via a 50/50 draw,
and we are hoping to raise another $700 to hit our target donation goal
of
$1000. Please support us in our cause
and help us show the Oil Queens, and the Peach family, a great
amount of love
and support during this difficult time.
Stickers will be available at the
supervisors table on nights the womens league plays starting this Sunday,
June 9, 2019. WBHE could not have done
this without the wonderful support from WBHE player

Press Ltd, who graciously donated the finished product to us. Please join us in

It's that time of the year again where we would like to encourage our teams to help us give back to those in need this Christmas season. As such, we will be collecting items for the residents of a low income seniors lodge in downtown Edmonton. The top two teams that donate items will receive prizes!! Please bring your donations to the rink next week or the following week! We are looking for the following items: Crossword Search Books, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Wash & Chocolates. There are 52 male and 6 female residents we would like to provide for! Thanks everyone in advance!! May the best team win!!

Homeless Connect Edmonton Clothing Donation Drive
WBHE is excited to announce that we will be collecting donations for the Homeless Connect Edmonton Clothing Donation drive. If you have any clean or gently used men's, women's or children's clothing that you would like to donate, please bring it with you to the rink on April 15 or April 18, 2018. All items gathered will be dropped off an official donation drop location in preparation for the event itself on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the Shaw Conference Center. Please look for the donation drop boxes which will be located by the supervisor's table at the arena.
